Altered Art Tags

"Time" Tag, white card stock tag cut out using the cricut, stamped cart. I painted the tag with the distressed paint-tea dye. Then using a versa mark pad I stamped "time" and the clock. I embossed both using the distressed embossing powder-black soot. I inked around the edges with the distressed ink -black soot. I finished the tag with a brass antique brad, and twine.

"Breathe"- This tag was created by painting a Manila card stock tag with Distressed crackle paint-Broken China. I painted the tag, heated to dry with a heat gun and then added a second layer of Tea Dye paint randomly to the tag. I stamped "Breathe" on a second piece of white card stock, distressed the edges, and the front with -Walnut Stain, distressing ink. Then I used an embossing pen and outlined the details in the stamped image. I embossed the image with UTEE. I added stamped hearts to the tag as well as 2 small screw brads, 1 loopy brad with twine, and a ghost flower that I inked with Wild Plum alcohol ink, I finished the tag by inking the edges with Walnut stain and tying an inked ribbon to the top. "Little Prince"- This again was a Manila tag. I stamped the little prince image, inked the entire tag with distressed ink-Black Soot and Vintage Photo. I embossed the crown using an embossing pen and gold embossing powder. The frame is a stamped image with the middle removed. I inked the frame both on top and the edges, using the same inks. I added 2 small vintage buttons, several stamped crowns, and an inked flower with a center brad. I finished the tag with an inked beige ribbon.
"Dream"- Was created on a manila tag, I painted the tag with the distressed crackle paint in Worn Lipstick. I stamped dream on a second piece of card stock and cut using a 2in. circle punch. I inked the stamped image and embossed using clear embossing powder. I mounted the image to the tag using foam dots, to give the image some dimension. Other embellishments include: a clock face stamp, music wings stamp, flourish design stamp, inked Scrabble letter, inked Ric-Rac card stock scrap, 3 buttons with embroidery floss, and a scrap of lace ribbon. I finished the tag by inking the edges with Black Soot and tying an inked beige ribbon to the top.
Hi everyone, I had such a good time yesterday at my local stamping store, we had a blast playing with the distressed crackle paints and the distressed embossing powder. I love the way that these tags turned out. When I left the store I was covered in ink, and smiling all the way to the car. Dawn :)
